Knitting with 2 strands produces about the same tension as the three-ply ÅLJ yarn. You can make many beautiful color combinations by knitting with several different-colored strands. 100 % single ply merino - lace weight 100g= 600 meters / 660yards Needles: 2,0 - 3,0mm ISAGER WOOL 1 comes in 100g skeins which can be split into 2x 50g. 1 ordering unit = 50g (330 yards) We have some of the colors left which are discontinued at Isager. (Link below) Isager has several yarn types of the same thickness, and the idea is that customers can choose which yarn they want to the different designs, for example being able to choose between wool and cotton. Marianne Isager has added a number after the yarn-name - 1, 2 or 3, as a help for the customers to choose among the qualities. Same number = same thickness. Yarns with the same number can substitute each other, but Marianne Isager do not recommend to knit pure Alpaca qualities together, as this may give a heavier result than intended. It is better if one of the threads is containing wool.
