Marianne Isager has added a number after the yarn-name - 1, 2 or 3, as a help for the customers to choose among the qualities. Same number = same thickness. Yarns with the same number can substitute each other, but Marianne Isager do not recommend to knit pure Alpaca qualities together, as this may give a heavier result than intended. It is better if one of the threads is containing wool.
